Post Bobby Bell Women’s Pub Standings – After 5 of 6 Action Packed Races

Even if no one under age 45 gets the joke, who says the Bobby Bell isn’t female-friendly? Thanks to the gender graded (.88) scoring, Pub Queen Christin Doneski took out HFCer Brendan Lynch for the overall win with Silver Chalice sipper Eileen Cakouros also cracking the top 10.

A strange year with Meaghan Shaw hors de combat and men’s potential overall silver medalist Lorin Obler and Senior women’s leader Claire McManus going down for the count at Trail to Ale. Claire may be back at Paddys…

Two-time champ Miae Jacobs opted for the Chicago Marathon inferno but it didn’t really shake up the standings. 4-5-6 Masters Carol Lahiff, Christine Bradley and Cathy Cagle will all benefit from Jacobs, Sue McNatt and Melanie Hire’s solid placement among the top 5 Open runners.

Sue Maslowski vaults into the Senior lead over McManus, daughter Ally scores 38 big points and Nutmegger Carol “Mom” Smith scores her first Pub Series points (pop the champagne!) while Veteran stalwarts Catherine Farrell and Mary Radin can blow kisses at 12-minute pace at Paddy’s having locked up the 1-2 positions.

Ladies – – Don’t turn an ankle, there’s one more race left in the quest for a vest and final point tally. And, if you’re leading a division – Open, Master, Senior, Vet – stop by the NER booth across from Paddy’s to pick up your yellow leader’s singlet (maillot jeune as they say on the Tour).
