Providence, RI’s Keith Kelly, 31, has had more than his share of injuries, and he was even a bit tweaked taking the line at the Senior Men’s 12K at Santry, but he moved right to the front and stayed there to win his first national title.
The knee that bothered him through half the race is a prime consideration in bypassing World XC and shooting for the European Championships as part of the Irish team favored for a medal on the same Santry course on Dec. 13.
