An anticipated 500,000 people will
line the race course on Monday and cheer on a field of 25,000 runners from
Hopkinton to Boston. The Boston Marathon Spectator Guide,
which offers tips on where to watch, when to expect the runners based on their
start times, and transportation information along the course, can be downloaded

WBZ-TV, the Boston CBS affiliate,
will air exclusive, live, local coverage of the race from 8:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.
(EST) on Monday, April 19. Its coverage of the Marathon to date is catalogued on its website ÛÒ www.wbztv.com/bostonmarathon.
For viewers living outside of the
Universal Sports will broadcast wire-to-wire coverage of the 114th
Boston Marathon beginning at 9:30 a.m. (EST). Viewers are encouraged to check
local cable listings to find Universal Sports in their area. The Boston Marathon
will be broadcast to more than 100 countries worldwide.

into a race-tracking center on race day. The site will offer live commentary and
an active leaderboard, showing the progress of athletes at every five kilometer
