adidas McMillan Elite Adds Seven Athletes

Flagstaff, Arizona-based training group part of U.S. distance running resurgence

 

Heading into its fourth year, the adidas-McMillanElite training group has added seven recent grads to its roster. Thanks to the financial support of adidas, New York Road Runners Club, Houston Marathon Foundation and USATF Foundation,
these emerging professional athletes are provided a jump-start to their
post-collegiate running careers. Below is a snapshot of the new faces
and names that will represent adidas-McMillanElite as it builds toward
the 2012 Olympic Games.


* Aaron Braun (Adams State College)

16 x NCAA D2 All-American
6 x NCAA D2 National Champion
4th USA Outdoor Championships (2010) – 5000m

* Scott Smith (University of California Santa Barbara / UCSB)
PR: 28:35.71 – 10,000m
UCSB school record holder at 5000 & 10,000

* Marco Anzures (UCLA)
PR: 29:00 – 10,000m (debut)

* Danielle Domenichelli (UCSB)
PRs: 33:19.43 – 10,000m / 16:01.03 – 5000m
7th 2010 NCAA 10,000 – All-American
11th 2008 NCAA 5000 – All-American

* Natasha LaBeaud (Georgetown University)
PR: 33:34.61 – 10,000m
3 x NCAA Cross Country qualifier

16th 2010 NCAA 10,000

* Megan Duwell (University of Minnesota)
