Big winds and broken clam shells were de rigeur on Seagull Beach but it did not rain at this year's Irish Village 5M and we can all be thankful for that. Congrats to all those who braved the dire elements and jumped accordingly in the standings.

Michelle reports that 110 folks have made both races, many of them women, not all of whom who are on the leaderboard, although two newbies and members of Team Fabulous are. While mom Sue Maslowski takes over as top Senior and 7th overall, daughters Ally and Kate also appear below. Now that's family spirit!

Laying down a 5:48 pace, our favorite female racer from Hopkinton, NH - Christin Doneski has moved to a 3-point lead over our favorite perennial Pub Series bronze medalist from 2005 - Meaghan Shaw, who managed to stay a stride ahead of last year's champ, Mimi Fallon, on the mend after an injury-induced layoff. Add top Master and 2X women's champ Miae Jacobs and HFC stalwart Eileen Cakouros and you've got the early going's Big Four.

Next stop Portsmouth, NH for the Runner's Alley/Red Hook 5K and, hopefully, more desirable weather.
