Whoosh - 2005 NER Pub Series Final Women's Standings

A monumental finish to this year's Pub Series with flying insulation, gusting winds, yet minus the rain of the previous 8 days. Hopkinton, NH's Christin Doneski added the Paddy's Shillelagh Shuffle 3M title to her previous win at Doyle's, but 2005 Pub Queen Mimi Fallon stayed ahead of Christin on four occasions to clinch a 2- point decision - the closest (male or female) in the 8-year history of the Series.

This upcoming issue's Table of Contents Bronze Age starlet Meaghan Shaw, stayed true to the Show position all Series long, with Hurtin' For Certain teammate Eileen Cakouros placing 4th. Eileen was listed as a male in the Paddy's standings but it could have been worse. She could have been wearing a bubble cast like poor Sue McNatt who walked the course and lost the 5th position to Michelle Carletti, but gained a jacket and some quality time with her kids on the Shillelagh course.

Sue Kenney did run while fighting plantar fasciia, gaining a meager Masters point while Christine Hollander gained 8 to pass Sue by one solitary point in the overall Masters standings (nothing this dramatic happened on the men's side). Somerville RR Emer O'Donaghue managed to stay ahead of CSU's Cathy Cagle to claim 3rd in the division.

Everything else remained status quo. Congrats to all. Everyone who ran at least five races (and who's a subscriber) will get an invite to the Doyle's poo-bah, traditionally scheduled for the 1st of 2nd Thursday in Dec.
