Publicans were obviously motivated at Napper Tandy's by
Perkins School for the Blind singer John Castillo,
14, who gave a rousing rendition of the national anthem
before the Mustang Flyer 4M. Castillo sang at opening day in
2003 when legally blind track star Marla Runyon
threw out the first pitch (wonder where it went? yes, we're
going to hell)Casey Moulton was obviously motivated by the 125
clams for 1st, while HFCer Jason Cakouros is
cementing his lock on Pub Supremacy with a performance
just 19 seconds behind young Casey in 20:33. Three-time
champ Paul Hammond needs to be drug tested,
posting up third and also cracking 21 in 20:53.
Good to see old pal Chris Teague back for a visit.
He gave his Finbar's lucky charm to Eric
Beauchesne who, obviously ailing, flailed in
Teague-like to be passed in the standings by former
Saucony & current adidas honcho Michael
McGrane.
CT's Brendan Cashman continues his upward
climb while the top 3 slots among Masters are separated by
a scant 3 points. Next up, the Halfway to St. Patrick's Day 5K
in Manchester, NH on Sept. 11.
