Pub Series Men's Standings After Khoury's Summer Steamer

Start of Amendment: As the Steam rises from Khoury's and painful memories of Winter St. Hill recede in the distance, the following earth shattering facts have come to light:
1: With everyone counting on Pub Leader Chris Teague to wipe out in the heat, we inadvertantly aided the Mad Englishman by giving him an additional Pub point.

Chris did not wilt and we are subsequently withdrawing the offending (to runner-up Eric Beauchesne) point. The two-time defending champ is now but 4 pts. back and still predicting some natural calamity will befall the leader.

2. Salem's Robert Shrater, 54, believed himself cursed upon realizing he'd been banished from the list of true-blue Publicans who'd done all three races to date. Exhaustive research has uncovered his name spelled miscorrectly as Sharter by the hard-partying crew at the Winner's Circle. Robert is now back in the land of the living.

3. It counts for something, not much, but what the hell, is the correct assertion from Franklin's Mike Sawyer who earned 9 valuable points at Khoury's and has now been added to the classy On Deck Circle contingent. End of Amendment.

Oh, the carnage of Winter St. Hill in the aptly named Khoury's Summer Steamer 4M. Teague and Beauchesne go at it like Mad Dogs and the end result is a single point pickup by Eric The Keg, who nonetheless moved out of a tie with Granite State master blaster Tom Doody.

Pity the plight of poor Veteran's Leader Joe Drugan. He's clipped by fellow VET Dave Pember by 1 second at Dedham's July 4th race. Pember again decisions him at the Steamer to move within 2 points of the lead. One 60+ prize is given out (to Pember) and Pember wins a free pair of Nike's with his predicted time, just 6 seconds off.

Following are the Series Standings after three of six races. It takes Four to Score for season ending point tallies. Scroll down for Age Groups. Applications for the next Pub Series race on August 28 can be had at:
Buffet /Harpoon 4.4M

The next Pub race on Aug. 28 is a Thursday evening affair with no "day of" registration so don't wait until the last minute.
