2003 NER Pub Series Men's Standings After 5 of 6 Races

It looks to be an easy Champs De Lysee (SP?) cruise through three miles of easy terrain in Newton as the bar flies chant, "Three-peat!" for Eric the Keg. An aggressive Ollie by Eric knocked the stuffing out of previous leader ChrisTeague as superstar Paul Hammond beats Tom Doody, yet it's Doody also moving past our fading leader. Hammond moves past CSU ace Terry McNatt into the fifth position.

Veteran warriors Dave Pember and Joe Drugan trade elbows and places for four miles before Pember gains an advantage and keeps his Series lead. Dave Cobb cleans Jean-Guy Claude Barra's Senior division clock and Don Fredrickson accepts Uta Pippig's late race challenge and doesn't even puke on himself, ala Tim Gavin in 2002.

Not only that, but the threatened apocalypse never arrived. Hooah! See you at Paddy's Pub in Newton on Oct. 19 for the 2003 Finale.
