If you're like most runners, the collection of race T-shirts in
your closet needs to be thinned out from time to time. This
year, the April 24 Muddy Moose Trail Races in
Wolfeboro, NH are collecting T-shirts that are either new,
lightly used (or in decent condition) on behalf of the
Missionaries of Charity (founded by Mother Theresa). The
shirts are then sent to Haiti to clothe the 'poorest of
the poor'.
You might not believe how much a simple thing like a fresh
T-shirt is valued by people in this impoverished
nation. Please consider taking a look at your T-shirt
collection. Are there a bunch near the bottom that you don't
really wear? That aren't your size?
Attention race directors: Do you have a stack of
T-shirts leftover from an old race? That set of shirts that say
"2003" on them may be useless to you, but
matching shirts become great uniforms for a kids'
soccer team in Haiti.
To donate some of your shirts, bring them to the Muddy
Moose on race day, or you can ship them at any time
