Assemblyman Saladino Presents Legislative Grant To Greater Long Island Running Club

The Greater Long Island Running club was privileged to be the recipient of a very much appreciated $1000 Legislative Grant secured for  the Club by New York State Assemblyman Joseph Saladino in support of the Club’s wheelchair athletics program in general and the Nick Katsounis Memorial Wheelchair Championship Race in particular.

Assemblyman Saladino’s District encompasses the southern third of the Town of Oyster Bay, including South Farmingdale and the Masapequas.

 The formal presentation of the Grant award was made to Club President Mike Polansky and GLIRC member lrene Drezen, a Massapequa resident.

 “We are absolutely thrilled that Assemblyman Saladino continues to support our efforts,” noted Club President Mike Polansky, “both our general efforts to promote running, fitness and a healthy Long Island, and our specific efforts to provide athletic opportunities for disabled individuals. Joe Saladino is a giving, caring public servant, and we very much appreciate all he has done for us.‰âÂVbCrLf
