CHARLEVOIX, Mich. – The 6th Ryan Shay Mile
will take place in Charlevoix on Saturday, July 27. Once again the spectators should be treated to a thrilling race to the finish with a deep menÛªs field and a strong womenÛªs field. Daniel Clark and Heather Kampf will be returning to defend their titles, and with the current fields assembled, both course records, menÛªs 3:55.9 (Jeff See, 2010) and womenÛªs 4:31.83 (Heather Kampf, 2012), could be broken on the fast downhill, point-to-point course.The 2013 race is also the 10th stop on the 14-event inaugural Bring Back the Mile Tour. DUBLIN, Ireland – A night of highlights and magnificent
performances included three stadium records, two national records, 58 personal records and nine sub-4 minute Miles. The SSC Women`s International Mile delivered for the second successive year a stadium record as Brie Felnagle (USA) clocked 4:30.44, edging Canada`s Hilary Stellingwerff who ran 4:30.95. In the final event of the night, Cory Leslie (USA) roared down the home straight to win the 2013 Morton Mile in 3:55.85, a personal record an one of the fastest times in recent years. KodiakÛªs Dunbar Submits Sub-4 Minute Mile |

ANCHORAGE, Alaska ÛÓ Trevor Dunbar, who was a high school cross country and track and field standout at Kodiak High School, became the first Alaskan to run a sub-4 minute Mile on Monday. Dunbar clocked a time of 3 minutes, 59 point 6 seconds at the Roughrider Twlight Meet in Portland, Oregon, where in doing so he also surpassed his father, Marcus Dunbar (4:00.58), as the Alaska state Mile record holder.
