Syracuse Chargers Track Club Invites
2014 College Scholarship

The Syracuse Chargers Track Club, Inc. (SCTC) invites qualified CNY high
school seniors to apply for the $1,000 college scholarships that the Club will
award later this spring through its College Scholarship Program.  The Club
plans to award as many as three $1,000 scholarships in 2014, and the application
deadline is Thursday, May 15th.

Established in 2004, the SCTC‰Ûªs College Scholarship Program has previously
awarded $19,000 to area high school seniors from a dozen different high schools
located throughout Onondaga, Madison, Cortland, and Oswego counties. The Program
is funded by both donations and the proceeds from the annual Fayetteville
Classic road race, which the Chargers conduct in mid-Septemb er in conjunction
with the Village of Fayetteville‰Ûªs Fayetteville Festival.

College-bound students who demonstrate academic scholarship, volunteer
service including but not limited to volunteering in conjunction with SCTC
events and programs, and a commitment to personal fitness.  Applicants must
be members of the Club at the time of their application for the Scholarship.

The Syracuse Chargers Track Club, Inc. is an all-volunteer,
501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been dedicated to serving the
interests of CNY runners, walkers, jumpers, throwers, pole-vaulters, and
hurdlers of all ages, abilities, and levels of experience since 1972.  The
SCTC is affiliated with USA Track & Field, the Road Runners Club of America,
