The Italian Coffee Company Becomes the Official Coffee of the Boston Marathon


BOSTON, MA ‰ÛÒ The Boston Athletic Association
(B.A.A.) announced today the beginning of a partnership with Italian
coffee roaster Lavazza to become the Official Coffee of the Boston


Lavazza will provide runners in April‰Ûªs Boston
Marathon with its product in Hopkinton‰Ûªs Athletes‰Ûª Village before the
119th running of the world‰Ûªs most historic road race. Coffee will also
be offered at the Pre-Race Pasta Dinner and B.A.A.
events throughout Boston Marathon weekend.


‰ÛÏCoffee is an important part of the race-day
routine for thousands of runners, and certainly for Marathoners,‰Û said
B.A.A. Executive Director, Tom Grilk. ‰ÛÏTo have a partnership with a
world-famous brand is immensely gratifying, and Lavazza‰Ûªs
engagement with our runners will have a positive impact on our runners‰Ûª
experience in Boston.‰Û
