Donuts Business Owners to Sponsor New American Prize Money Category at TD Beach
to Beacon 10K

MEMIC, the
race‰Ûªs official Safety Sponsor, also joins as new sponsor for 18th
running of classic road race in coastal Cape Elizabeth, Maine

CAPE
ELIZABETH, Maine
 (June
30, 2015)
‰ÛÒ Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts, in partnership with their
local franchise owners, has signed on as a new sponsor of the TD Beach to Beacon
10K Road Race and will provide prize money for a new American-only runner
category, race officials announced Tuesday.

Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts, America‰Ûªs
favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, joins an elite
group of high-level sponsors who help make the 18-year-old TD Beach to Beacon such an undeniable
success each year.

‰ÛÏLocal
Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts business owners are always looking for ways to support
their community and events like the TD Beach to Beacon,‰Û said Dana Reid
of Dunkin‰Ûªs Donuts. ‰ÛÏWe are very proud to sponsor the American
prize money category and celebrate these amazing athletes.‰Û

The
new $23,000 prize purse for American men and women is one of the most generous
offered at U.S. road races and swells the TD Beach to Beacon‰Ûªs total
prize money available to athletes to more than $90,000.

The
American-only prize money, which is likely to attract many of the
country‰Ûªs top distance athletes to the Aug. 1 race, will be split evenly
among the top five men and women and break down like this: $5,000 for first,
$3,000, $2,000, $1,000 and $500.

‰ÛÏWe are so
grateful to the local Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts business owners for joining us
this year and adding this exciting and transformative new element to the
race,‰Û Race President Mike Stone said. ‰ÛÏThe generous support that
we receive from our sponsors, both new and returning, is vital to our mission.
In addition to being a world-class road race, the TD Beach to Beacon 10K truly
has grown into a celebration of health and fitness for the entire region. The
stature of this race would not be maintained without the continued support we
receive from all of our sponsors. We can‰Ûªt thank them enough.‰Û

In
addition to the prize purse sponsorship, Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts also will be on
site throughout race weekend raising money for race beneficiary Good Shepherd
Food Bank through the sale of Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts product.

Based
in Canton, Mass., Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts is a market leader in the hot
regular/decaf/flavored coffee, iced coffee, donut, bagel and muffin
categories. There are more than 150 locally-owned Dunkin‰Ûª Donuts
restaurants based in Maine with many being multi-generational family businesses
that have served and supported their local communities for decades.

Another
new sponsor this year is MEMIC, which will
serve as the TD Beach to Beacon‰Ûªs official Safety Sponsor. Based in
Portland, Maine, MEMIC helps employers from a variety of industries boost
productivity and lower costs by embracing workplace safety. MEMIC is
Maine‰Ûªs largest and leading workers‰Ûª compensation insurer,

This
year marks the 18th running of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K, which filled online
in less than five minutes and is considered one of the gems on the U.S. road

states and more than 260 Maine cities and town finished the winding, rolling,
often breathtaking 6.2-mile coastal course. The race debuted in 1998 with 2,408
runners crossing the finish line.

The
2015 race beneficiary is Good Shepherd Food Bank (www.feedingmaine.org), Maine‰Ûªs
largest hunger relief organization, which receives a $30,000 donation from the
TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America‰Ûªs
Most Convenient Bank®. TD Bank has now donated $540,000 to Maine
charities over the history of the race.
