2016 Ion Bank Cheshire Half Marathon & 5K donated over $100,000 to
local charities! A recent check presentation ceremony was held at
Cheshire High School where checks were presented to Abilities Without
Boundaries, SARAH Foundation, Best Buddies CT, the Cheshire Lions Club
and a number of Cheshire High School teams, clubs and organizations.
These donations would not be possible without the generous support of
our sponsors and participants. The fifth annual event, held on April 24,
attracted a record crowd of over 3,000 runners. Since the inaugural
year in 2012, the Ion Bank Cheshire Half Marathon & 5K’s charitable
focus has been on raising money and awareness for local organizations
that support individuals with special needs.
