Hosted by the K9 PTSD Research Center, this family-friendly 5K brings together runners, walkers, families, supporters, and K9 lovers for a special morning of remembrance, recognition, and support. Participants are welcome to run or walk the 3.1-mile course while helping raise awareness and support for the heroes who dedicate their lives to serving our communities and country.
The event will begin and finish at Bourne High School, 75 Waterhouse Road, Bourne, Massachusetts, on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The K9 Hero Awards Ceremony will take place from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m., followed by the 5K Race/Walk at 10:00 a.m.
Come celebrate the remarkable bond between K9s and their handlers, honor those who have served, remember those we have lost, and support the lifelong care of retired working K9 heroes.
Bring your family, bring your friends, and help us show these heroes that their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
