The Champlain Islands Marathon and Half Marathon is a new name for the classic Green Mountain Marathon and Half Marathon.  The Champlain Islands Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in the beautiful Lake Champlain Islands, and runs along West Shore Road in the town of South Hero.  The course is relatively flat with several rolling hills, and passes farms, orchards, summer cottages, and Lake Champlain.
